Egress Curve

The Egress Curve Wizard is a new tool for automotive door design. This function is used in conjunction with the Door Opening Wizard to model the door ring area of the body side panel. The Egress Curve Wizard creates an EGRESS_CURVE feature consisting of:
Egress Curves - This closed string of curves defines the shape of the door aperture (opening into which the door fits). Egress curves (sometimes called the B-line) are associative to the side glass surface, the door inner surface (sometimes called the J-surface), and to the belt line. Egress curves lie on the egress surface.
Egress Surface - The untrimmed sheet body that covers the opening of the door aperture. The egress curve lies on this surface. The upper portion of the egress surface is an offset of the side glass surface. The lower portion is an offset of the door inner surface. The upper and lower portions are connected by a transition region that bridges between the two, or optionally blends between them.
